historic Valley Ford Creamery is undergoing a wonderful transformation.
The goal for the project is to fully realize the incredible
potential available in a building with more then 20,000 sq/
ft. Located in a truly inspiring rural setting on the western
Sonoma / Marin county line in northern California, this almost
100-year-old historic building is sure to become a destination
as this areas premier artist studio complex. All County approvals
and permits are in hand. Creating the community of working
artists/artisans is all that remains. If you are interested

to the very large size of this project, the remodeling and
reconstruction process has been divided into 3 separate phases.
1 studios are being offered for rent. The phase has over-all
a total of more than 7000 sq. ft. available for studio space.
Phase 1 is presented as a possible three studios offering a
rare opportunity for large to very large studio space. This
is a pre-construction offering, allowances to the specific
tenant requirements can easily be considered. Occupancy is
set for September 2006. (see Studios)
2 will provide the next 7,250 sq. ft. of professional studio
space. This area of the building will be designed to accommodate
those looking for smaller studio spaces. The final division
of this area and number of spaces has yet to be determined.
Architecture and engineering are set to begin in early 2006.
Occupancy: June 2007.
3 develops the main entrance to the Creamery, which opens into
our cathedral-like Atrium/Gallery space. This central Atrium/Gallery
space will provide interior access to all of the artist studios.
At almost 3000 sq. ft. with 19 ft. high walls, is available
to Creamery occupants for private events such as: art openings,
exhibits, classes, workshops and demonstrations, rehearsals,
performances, movies, dinners, parties, and dances. Phase 3
also includes another 3000 sq. ft. of beautiful private studio
The surrounding landscape has remained unchanged for the
last 50 years, and in keeping with Sonoma County’s General Plan, will not be subject to
further commercial or residential development. Valley Ford is “big sky” country
in the protected watershed of the Estero Americano.
in the Valley Ford Creamery studio community will enjoy 24-hour
access to the most spacious multiple occupancy building in
western Sonoma County. This project presents a rare opportunity
for individuals or groups interested in working amidst a deeply
peaceful setting, and in proximity with others who seek the
same kind of environment.
